About us
As a family-owned restaurant, Le Bambou has been serving Vietnamese cuisine to the San Diego/Del Mar area since 1986.
Lightness and subtlety distinguish true Vietnamese cooking. Our cuisine emphasizes grilling, roasting, steaming, and stir-frying to make the most of each ingredient’s color, texture, taste, and aroma. Customers concerned about health and nutrition will find numerous choices on our menu. We use only 100% cholesterol-free canola oil when preparing our food, and we do not add MSG in any of our dishes.
Many dishes are wrapped in lettuce and accompanied by fresh herbs and vegetables. Others are eaten in delicate rice paper wrappers. Fresh, tasty dipping sauces accompany both appetizers and main dishes. The contrasting flavors of lemon grass, garlic, cilantro, chili, ginger and mint combined with the crisp, soft and silky textures of the different shrimp, chicken, vegetarian, and beef dishes make for an unusually diversified cuisine.
